§ 54. Mr. Freethasked the Minister of Transport what plans he has, in view of the increasing heavy traffic on A34, for a north-south by-pass at Whitchurch, Hampshire.
§ Mr. HayWe are aware of the increasing use being made of this road, and we are watching the position. A line for a by-pass of Whitchurch is protected in the Hampshire Development Plan, but we have not been able to find a place for this scheme within the current road programme.
