asked the Minister of Transport if he will give a general direction to the British Transport Commission that, when a decision is taken to make drastic alterations in the timing of a train on any particular day, action should be taken to publicise this alteration through the British Broadcasting Corporation and the Press so as to prevent undue inconvenience to passengers.

No. This is a matter of day to day management for which the British Transport Commission are responsible.
