§ Mr. Scholefield Allenasked the Minister of Transport when Her Majesty's Government expects to sign the European Convention on Compulsory Insurance against Civil Liability in respect of Motor Vehicles.
§ Mr. MarplesIt is not the present intention of Her Majesty's Government to become a signatory to this Convention. To do so would involve changes in United Kingdom legislation and practice in regard to motor insurance which would not be justified on grounds of domestic need.
