HC Deb 16 December 1959 vol 615 c186W
139. Mr. Kimball

asked the Minister of Labour if he is aware of the threat to local employment caused by the dilapidation and deterioration of the jetty at Keadby on the River Trent; and if, in order to avoid unemployment in the area, he will consult with the British Transport Commission with a view to having this jetty repaired.

Mr. Heath

I regret that one man has become unemployed owing to the closing of the jetty at Keadby, and I understand that its future is still under consideration.
