HC Deb 15 December 1959 vol 615 cc131-2W
84. Mr. Gresham Cooke

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will call a national conference representing employers' associations, boards of nationalised industries, and trade unions, to join in a discussion in their common interest, so as to reach conclusions about the best course to follow to avoid any price inflation in the future.

Mr. Amory

Representatives of the interests mentioned already meet regularly under Government chairmanship at the National Production Advisory Council for Industry and at the National Joint Advisory Council for the discussion of subjects of national interest, including such questions as those referred to.
