§ Mr. H. WatkinsonOfficers of the three Services are required to seek permission from their Departments before making public statements on matters bearing on their Services. Under the Ministry of Defence Act, 1946, I am responsible for the formulation and general application of a unified policy relating to the Armed Forces of the Crown.
