HC Deb 14 December 1959 vol 615 cc99-100W
Mr. Scholefield Allen

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is aware that the accommodation and facilities provided for delegations and committees at the recent meeting in Paris of the Assembly of Western European Union were inadequate for the proper performance of Parliamentary duties; and if Her Majesty's Government will press for the provision, in the new quarters to be constructed for Western European Union at the Palais d'Iéna in Paris, of suitable office and restaurant facilities.

Mr. R. Allan

The arrangements made for the meeting in Paris were the responsibility of the Western European Union Assembly.

The Council is at present examining the question of the construction of the new quarters for the Western European Union in Paris.
