asked the Minister of Labour the latest available unemployment figures for Southampton, and for ship-repair workers in Southampton, respectively, with the similar figures for July, 1959, and December, 1958.

Mr. Heath

At 16th November 2,690 persons were registered as unemployed at employment exchanges in Southampton compared with 2,517 at 13th July and 2,724 at 8th December, 1958. The figures include 392, 656 and 436 respectively whose last employment was in the shipbuilding and ship-repairing industry.
