§ Mr. Elwyn Jonesasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many Africans are at present restricted without any previous trial in any court of law, to areas in Northern Rhodesia and Kenya on terms such that if they leave these areas without permission they are liable on conviction to imprisonment.
§ Mr. J. Amery, pursuant to Mr. Macleod's reply [OFFICIAL REPORT, 5th November, 1959; Vol. 612, c. 78], supplied the following information:
The number of Africans in Kenya so restricted on 5th November was 530.
