Mr. Grey

asked the Minister of Health the number of persons within the various hospital management committee areas of the Newcastle Region who were waiting for hearing aids in 1951, and for each year to date.

In recent weeks there have been temporary increases in the waiting lists largely due to shortages of supplies, which with the assistance of my right hon. Friend the Postmaster-General we have taken steps to overcome.
