§ 80. Mr. H. Hyndasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what reply the Government has given to the request from the Governor of Hong Kong for financial assistance in dealing with the problem of refugees in the Colony.
§ Mr. J. AmeryOn his recent visit the Governor gave a Press conference in support of the World Refugee Year Appeal and with special reference to Hong Kong. As the hon. Member will be aware, Her Majesty's Government have made a contribution in response to that appeal, of which one-third is earmarked to be applied towards the needs of Chinese refugees in Hong Kong.
