HC Deb 28 April 1959 vol 604 cc110-1W
73. Miss Bacon

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will make representations to the Government of the United States of America to reconsider the decision to reduce the low duty quota of imported wool goods.

Mr. J. Rodgers

Her Majesty's Government have made repeated representations to the United States Government on this subject. We are certainly making clear to them our disappointment at their decision for this year and our hope that we can secure better arrangements for the future.
