HC Deb 28 April 1959 vol 604 c108W
64. Mr. N. Pannell

asked the Minister of Works what arrangements govern the flying of flags from public buildings in Scotland, England, and Wales on the national days of the respective countries.

Mr. Molson

Flags are flown on Government buildings on appointed days, which include St. Andrew's Day for buildings in Scotland and St. David's Day for buildings in Wales. St. George's Day is not an appointed day and flags are not, therefore, flown on that day.
