§ Mr. Stonehouseasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies (1) how many district officers in the last five years have been appointed as magistrates of the Northern Rhodesian Subordinate Courts of the 3rd class before they have passed their Civil Service law examinations;
(2) how many cadets of the provincial administration have been appointed magistrates of the Northern Rhodesian Subordinate Courts of the 4th class before they have passed their law examinations;
(3) how many resident magistrates appointed in Northern Rhodesia have passed no language examination in any Northern Rhodesian vernacular.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydI have asked the Governor for the information and when it is received will publish it in the OFFICIAL REPORT.
