§ Mr. Viantasked the Minister of Health if he is aware that a section of medical opinion hold the view that the Salk vaccine does not prevent poliomyelitis, and that others coming in contact with vaccinated persons may acquire paralysis as a result of such contact; and, in view of the uncertainty of the position, if he is prepared to reconsider the whole subject.
§ Mr. Walker-SmithComplete unanimity of opinion on a technical subject is very rare; but I am fully satisfied, on expert medical advice, of the value of vaccination in the prevention of paralytic poliomyelitis.
