§ 74. Mr. G. Jegerasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he is now in a position to make a further statement on the arrangements made with the Government of Spain for reciprocal abolition of visas.
§ Mr. R. AllanThe Spanish Government have informed Her Majesty's Government of their willingness to conclude a visa abolition agreement and we are accordingly consulting the Governments of those dependent territories which we should normally wish to be associated with us in such an agreement. This process will inevitably take some time.
Meanwhile, Her Majesty's Embassy at Madrid have been informed that British subjects in possession of a valid British passport may enter and leave Spain without visas provided that the duration of no single visit exceeds three months.
