Mr. Knox Cunningham

asked the Postmaster-General the number of telephone subscribers in the area comprising the Parliamentary constituency of Antrim, South in 1955, the increase in the number of such subscribers at the present date, and the number of applications for telephones at present outstanding.

Mr. K. Thompson

asked At 31st March, 1955, there were 5,531 subscribers; there are now 7,801, an increase of 2,270. Three hundred and twenty-six applications are outstanding; in addition, 164 are under inquiry or in course of being met.
