§ 6 and 7. Mr. J. Hyndasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (1) whether he will seek the establishment of a four-Power investigation into the allegations and counter-allegations concerning the appointment in Eastern Germany of Nazi war criminals to leading positions in government, law and defence;
(2) what further information he has received concerning investigatory proceedings and inquiries in the German Federal Republic into legal personages who are alleged to have been Nazi war criminals.
§ Mr. Selwyn LloydAs regards investigations in the Federal Republic of Germany, I have not received any information beyond that given by my hon. Friend the Minister of State in reply to the hon. Member for West Ham. North (Mr. Lewis) on 23rd of March. So far as Eastern Germany is concerned, I doubt whether we should get Four-Power agreement, but I will certainly bear the suggestion in mind.
