HC Deb 14 April 1959 vol 603 c59W
8. Lady Gammans

asked the President of the Board of Trade, in view of the undercutting of Canadian and British salmon by similar subsidised Russian products of equivalent grade, if he will impose countervailing duties under the Dumping and Subsidies Act.

Sir D. Eccles

The Board of Trade has received no application for a countervailing duty on salmon from the U.S.S.R. Imports from Russia have been running at low levels and we have no evidence that they are subsidised.
