§ Sir W. Robson Brownasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will consider reducing Purchase Tax on all commercial vehicles at an early date, bearing in mind that these vehicles form part of the plant and machinery of industrial and commercial undertakings and are in a category different from ordinary motor cars, and in view of the fact that the commercial vehicle industry is suffering a recession in trade, and that such remission would be of advantage both in their home and export trade.
