§ 74. Mr. Beswickasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs if he is aware of the concern felt by local authorities over the interpretation of Section 76 of the Local Government Act, 1933, concerning the pecuniary interests of local authority members; and if he will introduce legislation to amend further Section 76 of the Act.
§ Mr. BevinsWhile my right hon. Friend is not aware of any general concern over the interpretation of this Section, he knows that suggestions have been made that the policy set out in the Section should be reviewed, and he is proposing to discuss the whole question with the Associations of Local Authorities.
