§ Mr. Haymanasked the Secretary of State for Air (1) whether, before accepting any tender for the sale of Perranporth Airfield, he will take into account the fact that the Cornwall Gliding and Flying Club is the only one of its kind in Cornwall and will be deprived of facilities for flying unless some reservations in the conditions of sale are made;
(2) whether, before accepting any tender for the sale of Perranporth Airfield, he will give careful consideration to a petition signed by thousands of people praying that he will not do anything to jeopardise the future of the very sucessful Cornish Gliding and Flying Club.
Mr. WardWe have now accepted a tender. I understand that the gentleman who made it is prepared to allow the Cornish Gliding and Flying Club to continue to use the airfield.
