§ Mr. Skeffingtonasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what steps his Department has taken to implement the recommendations of the Hedgerow and Farm Timber Committee, which the Government have accepted.
§ Mr. John HareThe Forestry Commission has brought the recommendations of the Committee to the attention of appropriate Government Departments and other interested organisations. In cooperation with my Ministry, the Commission will help to promote the increased growth and proper maintenance of hedgerow and farm timber by education and other means. My Ministry will continue to encourage and make grants, under the170W Hill Farming and Livestock Rearing Acts and the Farm Improvement Scheme, for the planting of shelter belts.
