Nicholsonasked the Lord Privy Seal whether it is yet possible to make an announcement on the setting up of the proposed Joint Committee of Members of both Houses to examine the conditions under which Private Bills may provide for conferring on someone other than the Promoter functions in which the Promoter has no legal responsibility.
§ Mr. R. A. ButlerThe appropriate discussions have now been concluded and Motions will shortly be tabled both in this House and in another place proposing that a Joint Committee should be set up to investigate this matter.
