§ 51. Mr. Gowerasked the Minister of Health what particular steps he will take to meet the shortage of dentists in Wales revealed in the latest Report of his Department.
§ Mr. R. ThompsonThe shortage of dentists is a general problem which affects the country as a whole. As my right hon. and learned Friend said in reply to a Question on 24th July, the Government have accepted the recommendation in the McNair Report regarding the need to expand the facilities for training dental students. As part of this expansion, the setting up of a dental school in Wales is being considered.
