Straussasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation whether the Government have now concluded their examination into the problem, which they undertook to consider when they authorised the capital expenditure of a further £25 million for British Railways in May, of relieving the railways of certain obligations in relation to the maintenance of road bridges over railways and level crossings.
