asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty if he will state the tonnage for the last available quarter of vessels ordered by foreign countries from United Kingdom shipbuilding yards, and the tonnage of vessels ordered by British shipowners from foreign shipyards.

Two small merchant vessels, totalling 360 gross tons, were ordered by foreign countries from United Kingdom shipbuilding yards during the third quarter of 1958. During the same period reports were received of two vessels, totalling 3,180 gross tons. being ordered by British shipowners from foreign shipyards.
