HC Deb 12 November 1958 vol 595 c35W
Mr. G. R. Strauss

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation whether, in view of the judgment in the High Court in Griffin v. Squires, in which it was held that a car park was not a road within the definition set out in Section 121 of the Road Traffic Act, 1930, and that consequently a motorist could drive in a car park without a licence and uninsured, he will introduce amending legislation to rectify this anomaly.

Mr. Watkinson

No. I am not satisfied that amending legislation is called for.
