§ Mr. Malcolm MacMillanasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many applications for assistance under the Distribution of Industry Acts, 1945 to 1958, have been submitted by firms or persons in Scotland and how many have been approved; and if he will give the same information with regard to the Western Isles.
§ Mr. ErrollUp to 8th November, 63 preliminary inquiries from Scotland have resulted in 12 firm and eligible applications. Of these one has been granted, and the remainder are still being examined.
