§ Mr. SandysThis is a difficult question to which the Government have naturally given most careful thought. After consulting the Governor and the military authorities in Cyprus, we have come to the conclusion that, for the present, we should not be justified in ordering Service families to leave the island. Of course,36W any who wish to leave are free to do so, and will be brought home at public expense.
