§ 61. Mr. Haleasked the Minister of Health (1) the estimated number of chronic sufferers from disseminated sclerosis who are not in receipt of any institutional treatment or of any special home nursing; and what steps he is taking to provide additional institutional accommodation;
(2) whether he will consult with the Secretary of State for Air in regard to the possibility of the allocation and adaptation of one or more disused war-time residential aerodromes for the provision of institutional accommodation for chronic sufferers from disseminated sclerosis or Parkinson's disease.
§ Mr. Walker-SmithI regret that the information asked for in the first part of the Question is not available. I rely on Regional Hospital Boards to secure suitable hospital provision for those patients 5W who require it, and I do not think that the adaptation of a disused aerodrome would be suitable.
