Ongar rural district comes within the area of Brentwood Employment Exchange, where 193 persons were registered as unemployed at 13th October, 1958, compared with 131 at 4th October, 1957. Epping rural district comes within the area of Epping Employment Exchange, where 49 persons were registered as unemployed at 13th October, 1958, compared with 46 at 14th October, 1957.
