§ 60. Mr. R. Harrisasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what representations he has received from the London Airport Local Authorities Consultative Committee, or from individual local authorities or from local residents' associations, regarding the excessive noise caused by the Boeing 707 aircraft; and what steps he has taken to meet complaints made by the above bodies.
§ Mr. WatkinsonI have received written representations from seven local bodies, including the London Airport Consultative Committee. These were borne in mind in deciding the operating conditions for the Boeing 707 at London Airport, which I have already described. My right hon. Friend the Parliamentary Secretary will attend the meeting of the London Airport Consultative Committee on 13th November when this subject will be on the agenda.
