HC Deb 04 November 1958 vol 594 cc29-30W
62. Sir W. Anstruther-Gray

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what approaches have been made to him by the National Farmers' Union with a view to revising the law regarding roadside draining and ditching, which is based upon the Roadside Act of 1878 and is out of date with present conditions; and what reply he has made.

Mr. Maclay

I have not been approached by the National Farmers' Union on this matter, but if any points which may be causing difficulty are brought to my notice I shall be glad to consider them.
