HC Deb 04 November 1958 vol 594 c32W
70. Mr. Swingler

asked the President of the Board of Trade what action he will now take, in view of the further decline of the cinema trade, to maintain the level of British film production.

Mr. J. Rodgers

Such fall as has taken place in British film production has not been in any way comparable with the fall in cinema audiences. The assistance the Government now gives to British film production appears to be adequate.
