§ 47. Mr. Pageasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what progress has been made towards securing better street lighting on traffic routes in the Greater London area.
§ Mr. NugentAs I promised the House last December. I have convened a conference of representatives of the 103 street lighting authorities in the Greater London area. They unanimously agreed to set up a joint consultative committee to consider street lighting on traffic routes in this area. I am confident that this Committee will be helpful in improving conditions, especially on routes where there are many different lighting authorities.
