§ Mr. Iain MacleodIt is not possible to compute a separate percentage rate of unemployment for the Burgh of Motherwell and Wishaw. The number of persons registered as unemployed at 27W employment exchanges in that area at 14th April, 1958, was 2,055, compared with 1,241 at 15th April, 1957. Statistics relating to short-time working are not available for local areas.
