Mr. Gresham Cookeasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if he will state the total amount of advances which he has sanctioned to meet deficits on revenue account, to date, to the British Transport Commission under Section 1, subsection (1) (b) of the Transport (Railway Finances) Act, 1957.
§ Mr. Watkinson£127 million to meet the deficits up to 31st March. 1958, of which £117 million relates to deficits before 1st January, 1958.
