§ 63. Mr. Brockwayasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what action is being taken to prepare a register of electors on the basis of adult suffrage in Mauritius.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe arrangements for the next elections to the Mauritius Legislative Council, including the preparation of a register of electors, will be made under local legislation shortly to be considered by Ministers for enactment during the first part of the current Session. They will be supervised by an electoral commissioner, whom the Governor is anxious to appoint as soon as possible.
