HC Deb 02 May 1958 vol 587 c67W
Mr. N. Pannell

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations if he will publish a list of those Commonwealth countries which impose restriction on the entry of British nationals or exercise the power to deport such nationals, together with such details of the regulations in each case as have been communicated officially to him.

Mr. Alport

A statement giving the details for which my hon. Friend asks would be exceedingly long and would involve a good deal of research. Generally speaking, the Governments of all the other Commonwealth countries impose conditions of one kind or another upon the entry of citizens of the United Kingdom and Colonies and have powers of deportation. If my hon. Friend desires information regarding any particular country, I will be glad to send it to him.
