Johnsonasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he is aware that Mr. Abeid Aman Karume, General President of the Afro-Shirazi Party, has written to the British Resident in Zanzibar asking that the British Government and the Sultan's Government should officially declare that Zanzibar and Pemba are an African State; and what reply has been given.
