§ Sir I. HorobinThese Committees were appointed at the beginning of the war to assist and advise local fuel overseers, their approved costs being met by my Department. Their appointment was actually made by the local authorities, and as in most cases the authorities no longer feel the need for their advice they have generally fallen into disuse.
