§ 60. Mr. Mossasked the Minister of Education to what extent pre-apprenticeship courses exist in secondary schools; and to what extent it is his policy to encourage such courses.
§ Sir E. BoyleA course closely related to a pupil's future work may sometimes be useful, but my right hon. Friend prefers to encourage the development of courses in general education which include substantial elements of English, mathematics, science and craft work. He considers that such courses are the best preparation for apprenticeship which the secondary schools can give and are giving.
