§ 58. Mr. Biggs-Davisonasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty what arrangements have been made by his Department, since British shipping resumed use of the Suez Canal, to inform those concerned of conditions and hazards in the waterway.
§ Mr. AllanThe Admiralty issues details of convoy times through the Suez Canal, and of navigational hazards in the approaches to it. The Canal itself of course remains a compulsory pilotage waterway and, as in the past, the only satisfactory way of obtaining up-to-date information about the variable conditions in it is from a pilot during transit.
