§ 51. Sir T. Mooreasked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to the arrangements made by the Government of the Republic of Ireland to subsidise bacon exports to 9W Great Britain; and whether he will investigate the possibility of taking action in this matter under the provisions of the Customs Duties (Dumping and Subsidies) Act, 1957.
§ Mr. Vaughan-MorganI am aware of these arrangements. If an application for a countervailing duty on Irish bacon is made to the Board of Trade it will be considered in the usual way.
