§ Mr. Iain MacleodThe estimated numbers of employees in employment in Great Britain at the end of September, 1951, were 186,000 in the cotton spinning, doubling, etc., industry and 135,800 in the cotton weaving, etc., industry. The corresponding figures for the end of January, 1958, were 145,700 and 101,000 respectively.
