§ 7. Mr. Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in his forthcoming Budget, he will consider abolishing Purchase Tax and replacing it by a progressively increasing advertisement tax based upon a 5 per cent. tax for all monies spent on advertising up to £100 per annum and an additional cumulative 5 per cent. tax for every £100 above the first £100.
