§ 99. Mr. Callaghanasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies when he expects to be able to make a statement about constitutional progress in Northern Rhodesia and Nyasaland.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydI do not expect to be able to make a statement for some time. The Government of Nyasaland is not likely to formulate its proposals before the late summer. The Government of Northern Rhodesia hopes to be able to keep to the timetable requested by the Legislative Council and to make a statement towards the end of this month.
