HC Deb 04 March 1958 vol 583 cc113-4W
Mr. Woodburn

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what parts of Scotland are not yet covered by tuberculosis eradication orders; and how soon he expects Scotland's cattle to be completely free.

Mr. Maclay

The only part of Scotland not yet covered by tuberculosis eradication area orders comprises the counties of Aberdeen, Angus, Banff (part) and Kincardine. I expect to declare this area to be an eradication area on 1st March, 1959, and an attested area before the end of 1959, when all Scotland would for practical purposes, be free of bovine tuberculosis.
