§ Mr. Walker-SmithThe figure of £2 million has been used in the calculation of the central pool because Mr. Justice Danckwerts adopted it in his award. From and including the financial year 1952–53 it has been used on a provisional basis and is subject to retrospective adjustment should it be found by enquiry to have been too high or too low.
